1834 Capped Bust Quarter (25c)

Choice, original surfaces with satiny cartwheel luster and lovely album-style color - teal and violet framing both sides, ceding to warm champagne-gold in the centers. The strike is crisp and even, with bold definition that really pops under the skin. A well-deserved green CAC backs the grade, and the eye appeal is far better than typically seen at this level. Only light field chatter keeps it from pushing higher, but otherwise this example is one of the nicest of the date that we've seen at any grade.
