1873-CC Arrows Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c)
PCGS F12
The 1873-CC with arrows is a genuinely scarce coin that marks an important transition in American coinage. The arrows flanking the date were added to indicate a slight weight increase from 12.44 to 12.50 grams, and the Carson City Mint struck only 214,560 pieces. Most 1873-CC arrows halves that survived did so in lower grades, making even F12 examples relatively desirable among Carson City enthusiasts.
This PCGS F12 displays honest, even wear consistent with the grade. The surfaces show a pleasing medium gray patina with no major marks or problems - just natural circulation wear that has smoothed the high points while preserving the essential design elements. The eye appeal is solid for the grade, with clear date and mintmark visibility. A respectable example of this popular Carson City issue.
