1893-CC Morgan Dollar ($1)

PCGS F15 CAC

The 1893-CC Morgan dollar represents the final hurrah for Carson City silver dollar production. With a mintage of just 677,000 pieces, it was already scarce from the start, but the real damage came during the 1918 Pittman Act when hundreds of thousands of CC Morgans were melted down. This makes survivors like this one all the more significant in the collecting world.

This PCGS F15 example earned its CAC sticker through honest wear and solid eye appeal. The surfaces display an even, original gray patina with no significant marks or distractions. All major design elements remain clearly defined, and the "CC" mintmark stands out boldly on the reverse. Clean, problem-free, and totally original - exactly what you want in a key date Morgan at this grade level.
