1906-O Liberty Eagle $10

PCGS MS61 CAC

The 1906-O Liberty Head Eagle represents a notable branch mint issue from the New Orleans facility, which would cease gold coin production entirely just three years later. With a modest mintage of just 86,895 pieces, the 1906-O is significantly scarcer than its Philadelphia counterpart, particularly in mint state grades where survivors are genuinely rare.

This CAC-approved MS61 example displays impressive eye appeal for the assigned grade. The coin exhibits strong golden luster with subtle orange-honey undertones that glow warmly across both sides. While the expected light abrasions for the grade are present in the fields, they don't distract from the overall presentation. The strike is notably bold for a New Orleans issue, with good definition throughout Liberty's hair details and the eagle's feathers.
