1915-S Indian Gold Eagle ($10)
PCGS
AU55
CAC
The 1915-S Indian Head Eagle represents one of the better dates from the San Francisco Mint during the series' middle years. The 1915-S is significantly scarcer than its Philadelphia counterpart, with only 208,000 pieces struck. Most examples that survived did so in lower grades, making AU specimens like this one quite desirable.
This CAC-approved AU55 displays exceptional eye appeal with rich, original golden surfaces that show minimal wear on the high points. The luster remains vibrant throughout, and the coin exhibits the kind of clean, problem-free surfaces that CAC loves to see. A few light contact marks are present but entirely appropriate for the grade, and the overall preservation is outstanding for a coin that saw limited circulation.
