1961-D Lincoln Cent (1c) Error - Struck on Silver Dime (10c) Blank
NGC MS63
A silver cent! Struck on a 90% silver 10c blank, this silver-toned cent shows the dramatic reduced diameter with peripheral loss of lettering while retaining a bold date and mintmark. Satiny cartwheel luster rolls across frosty, nickel-white surfaces with wisps of champagne and pale blue at the rims. The strike is impressively even for the off-metal host, delivering sharp central detail on both sides. Choice Mint State eye appeal in an NGC Mint Error holder noting 2.5 g, with only some minor surface toning otherwise limiting the grade.
