1795 Flowing Hair Dollar ($1) 3 Leaves
PCGS VF25
The 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar represents the second and final year of America's first silver dollar design and the only readily collectible date. With the Flowing Hair series spanning just two years (1794-1795), these coins hold tremendous historical significance as the earliest large silver coins produced by the fledgling U.S. Mint.
This PCGS VF25 example displays outstanding eye appeal for the grade, with smooth, original gray surfaces that show honest circulation wear. The obverse retains strong detail in Liberty's hair and facial features, while the reverse eagle shows good definition in the feathers and wreath. Minor field marks are present but unobtrusive, and the coin exhibits the kind of natural patina that comes only with age and originality. A solid, problem-free example of this early American classic.
