Shipping & Returns

The Short Version

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase for your collection. If you don't love your new coin or note, let us know within 7 days and we're happy to take it back and offer a full refund (with a few caveats below). We also stand behind everything we sell (forever) and will always buy back anything you've purchased from us.

Returns

You have 7 days from the date you receive your item to request a return for any reason. Just contact us, send the item back in the same condition you received it, and we'll issue a full refund once it arrives.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Items must be returned in the same condition as shipped - same holder, same packaging
  • You're responsible for return shipping costs unless we made an error
  • We recommend using insured shipping for returns (these are valuable items, after all) - unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items when you're shipping to us.
  • Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days of receiving your return

The big exception to this is with bullion or any item whose value is based principally on its metal content. These items are not eligible for our 7-day return/refund policy. We will of course be happy to buy these items back, but at the current wholesale market price.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund to the original payment method. Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank. If you paid by check or wire, we'll issue a refund via your preferred method.

Shipping

We ship all orders via USPS. It's fully insured and tracked at every step and we've had very positive experiences with the service over the years. Depending on the value of the item, we may use USPS Ground (up to $1,000), Priority Mail (up to $10,000) or USPS Express (over $10,000).

  • Shipping costs - For items over $100, shipping is on us. For items under $100, shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
  • Insurance - All shipments are fully insured for the purchase price

We'll send you tracking information as soon as your order ships. If you have specific shipping requests or need expedited handling, just let us know.

Buy-Backs

We stand behind every coin and note we sell. If you ever want to sell something back to us (whether it's been a week, a year, or a decade) we'll happily buy it back. Here's how it works:

  • Within 7 days - This is our standard return period. If you simply changed your mind or the item wasn't what you expected, return it for a full refund.
  • After 7 days - We'll buy it back at current market pricing. If the market hasn't moved, we'll charge a standard 15% restocking fee. If the market has changed, the buy-back price could be higher or lower than what you originally paid (that's just how the market works). We'll always discuss the buy-back price with you before we buy it back.

This isn't a guarantee of profit or protection from market changes - it's just our commitment that you'll always have a straightforward buyer if you want to sell. Contact us anytime to discuss a buy-back or any other questions you may have.
