1795 Flowing Hair Dollar ($1) 3 Leaves
PCGS VG10
The 1795 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar with the Three Leaves variety represents one of America's most historically significant coins. Minted during the infancy of the U.S. Mint, these dollars were among the first silver coins struck under the Coinage Act of 1792.
This absolutely spectacular VG10 example shows honest wear consistent with its grade and a superbly pleasing medium gray patina that has developed over its 225+ years of existence. Despite the circulation, the major design elements remain clearly visible - Liberty's profile and flowing hair on the obverse, and the eagle surrounded by its wreath on the reverse. The coin shows no evidence of cleaning or other enhancement, maintaining its original surfaces and historical integrity. The eye appeal is excellent for the grade, with even wear and no distracting marks or problems.
