Choice, evenly toned medium‑brown surfaces with that wholesome early‑copper look and no distracting porosity or verdigris. Wear is balanced and honest, with bold legends and date and plenty of hair definition for the grade. The reverse shows a thin, old diagonal scuff through ONE CENT and a lighter tick in the left field, both long-settled and not at all out of place for the issue. Rims are sound with only trivial nicks. Strong eye appeal for a circulated example, housed in a classic PCGS OGH to boot—PCGS got the grade just right here.
