1796 Draped Bust Quarter (25c)
PCGS AG3
Classic, evenly worn 1796 quarter with honest, antique skin and surprisingly attractive color and obverse detail for the grade. The obverse is fully in G4-G6 territory and shows a soft stone-gray center framed by warm russet and olive at the peripheries, with a bold, complete date, profile, and smooth fields. The reverse is uniformly worn but original, with pale pewter centers and flecks of tan and cocoa toning that give it a pleasing, settled look. Surfaces are natural and problem-free for the grade, delivering better-than-typical eye appeal. Netted to an AG3 because of the incomplete reverse rims, this coin punches wayyyyyy above its weight class. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder.
