1799/8 Draped Bust Dollar ($1) 15 Reverse Stars
PCGS F12
Fresh, original, and right on the money for a solid Fine, this example shows even, pewter-gray patina with slightly darker rims that frame the devices nicely. Wear is balanced on both sides with strong outlines and plenty of remaining definition for the grade. Surfaces are honest and problem-free for early silver: a few light, old hairlines and minor ticks in the right obverse field, with scattered circulation marks on the reverse shield and wings, but nothing distracting. The rims are sound with no notable bumps, and the eye appeal is pleasingly natural for an early dollar. Housed in a straight-graded PCGS blue-label holder.
