A wholesome, original example with pleasing dove-gray patina deepening to charcoal in the recesses, giving the coin a balanced circulated cameo look. Surfaces are smooth for the grade with only scattered, light contacts; a couple of minor rim ticks are noted but unobtrusive. Detail remains strong in the hair, stars, shield lines, and eagle’s wings, easily supporting a high-end VF assessment.
