1805 Draped Bust Quarter (25c)
ANACS G6
The 1805 quarter represents early American silver coinage at its finest, with a mintage of just 121,394 pieces. This was only the sixth year of quarter production at the fledgling U.S. Mint, making any surviving example a tangible piece of our nation's numismatic infancy. The relatively low mintage combined with heavy circulation losses over more than two centuries makes even heavily worn examples like this one genuinely scarce.
This ANACS G6 example shows honest, even wear throughout with all major design elements still clearly identifiable. The surfaces display that classic medium-gray patina and stunning "circulated cameo" look that early silver develops after decades of circulation. Liberty's profile remains bold despite the wear, and the reverse eagle, while softened, retains its essential details. The coin is refreshingly problem-free - no scratches, gouges, or environmental damage - just the natural wear you'd expect from a quarter that actually did its job in commerce over 200 years ago. Were CAC to sticker ANACS coins, we're confident this would make the grade.
