1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar (50c)

This coin nails the strong XF look - evenly worn with solid definition under a totally original skin. The color is textbook old silver: pewter and antique silver-gray with subtle steel-blue and pale gold at the peripheries, with faint flashes of luster clinging in the protected curls and around the shield. Surfaces are smooth for the level, choice and undisturbed, with only a tiny spot near the obverse ribbon that is not at all distracting. Nicely centered rims and balanced devices add to the eye appeal. Housed in an NGC holder with the plus designation and a well-deserved green CAC sticker.
