1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c) Large 8

Warm, original skin with an attractive pewter base and soft golden-russet at the rims gives this XF example notably strong eye appeal. Wear is even and balanced, with plenty of definition in the curls and eagle’s plumage, and there are whispers of remaining luster tucked into the protected areas. Surfaces are honest and smooth for the grade, the look we all hunt for in circulated Bust halves. Housed in a current PCGS holder, and PCGS nailed the grade here. Only a small dark speck high on the reverse breaks the serenity.
