1814 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c) E/A

A popular E/A bust half, one of the more sought-after Capped Bust varieties. The surfaces are thoroughly original, cloaked in a deep slate-gray patina with warmer charcoal and olive tones settling into the recesses. The coin exhibits softness as a result of being struck from dies nearing the very end of their lifespan. Nothing distracting shows on either side. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder.
