1814 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c) O-103

This wholesome example shows wonderfully pleasing pewter-silver skin with warm antique gold at the rims and the classic original look. Soft, even wear with strong central detail and traces of frosty luster tucked into the stars and reverse shield. Surfaces are smooth for the grade, with only a light scuff in the left obverse field keeping it out of a higher tier. The look is notably original and balanced, earning a well-deserved green CAC sticker. Attributed as Overton 103 on the PCGS holder, the eye appeal is exactly what we like to see in a Choice AU bust half.
