1823 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c)

A ring of vivid amber, teal, and violet frames the obverse of this bust half, giving it the kind of album-toned look that only decades of undisturbed storage can produce. Wear is light and even, with strong curl and feather definition, while glints of luster linger around the stars and legends. The reverse is brighter silver with a band of patina at the periphery. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with the Benson pedigree on the label.
