1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c) Square Base 2

A killer bust half that comes with its old kraft envelope from G.L. Tilden - a Massachusetts coin dealer active in the early to mid 20th century. CAC-approved in a PCGS holder, this MS62 shows wonderfully original skin with pale champagne and light olive-gold at the peripheries over frosty, antique-silver fields. Cartwheel luster rolls nicely through the toning and gives the surfaces life. The strike is solid, with only minor softness in a couple of high spots. A wholesome, perfectly original example with pleasing eye appeal.
