1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c)
PCGS AU55
Fresh, original AU with pleasing pale champagne-gold patina over silvery surfaces and ample cartwheel remaining for the grade. The obverse fields are notably clean for a circulated Bust half, with only light friction and a couple of trivial ticks that keep it in the mid-AU range. Hair and feather detail is strong, and the rims are sharp with a soft, satiny glow at the peripheries that boosts eye appeal. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder, this example has the balanced wear, honest skin, and lively luster we all hunt for in an AU55.
