1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c)

A nice collector grade bust half, with soft pewter-gray surfaces warmed by hints of olive and pale gold. Detail remains strong for the grade - the curls, shield lines, and eagle's feathers show bold definition, and traces of luster linger in the protected recesses. The fields are smooth and free of anything distracting, giving this example a wholesome, undisturbed appearance with pleasing eye appeal. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder.
