1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c) Large Date, Small Letters

A crusty, deeply patinated bust half - dark russet dominates the obverse while the reverse is a brighter wheat-gold . Detail remains sharp throughout, with bold hair, and a fully defined eagle, while glints of luster survive in the protected areas. Only the lightest friction on the high points separates it from mint state, and the surfaces are smooth and undisturbed for the grade. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a well-deserved green bean.
