1838 Capped Bust Half Dollar (50c)

A lovely AU55 that wears its well-deserved green CAC with ease: wholesome, original skin throughout with even dove-gray to pale champagne patina and subtle, honest circulation. Luster peeks through the fields and around the stars and legends, giving the piece a pleasing, lightly satiny glow. The high points show balanced rub without distraction; contact is minor and well-scattered, with no distracting ticks or hairlines. Rims are sound, strike definition remains strong for the grade, and the reverse retains crisp shield lines and feather texture. Excellent eye appeal in a classic "old blue", problem-free PCGS holder.
