1840 Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c) Small Letters

A wholesome, original example of an early seated half. The surfaces show a natural medium-gray patina with deeper charcoal in the recesses with light gold accents, giving the coin an original, pleasing look. Wear is even across both sides with strong detail remaining in Liberty's gown and the eagle's feathers, and the fields are smooth for the grade with nothing distracting. Solid eye appeal on a desirable transitional seated half in a modern PCGS holder.
