1842 Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c) Small Date, Rev of 1842
CACG XF40 CAC
Clean, evenly worn surfaces display a pleasing medium-gray patina with faint tan-olive accents and no distractions beyond a few light, perfectly honest circulation lines. Detail is strong for the level - LIBERTY shows well, the eagle’s feathers and shield lines remain bold, and the rims and denticles are complete. The coin has that wholesome, original skin, with just a whisper of retained luster in the recesses. Eye appeal is solidly above average. Housed in a CACG holder noting Small Date - Reverse of 1842, and the grade call feels spot on.
