1847 Braided Hair Large Cent (1c) N-14

Pedigreed to the Col. Ellsworth Collection and attributed Newcomb 14 on the label, this 1847 Braided Hair cent wears glossy, original chocolate surfaces with warm mahogany undertones, while some original mint red persists on the reverse. Luster is strong for the grade, sweeping across both sides. The strike is sharp - full hair strands, crisp stars, and a boldly defined wreath with every leaf and berry sharp. A few scattered ticks in the obverse fields cap the grade. Excellent eye appeal in a PCGS gold shield holder with a green CAC sticker.
