1847-O Liberty Gold Quarter Eagle ($2.50)

Warm, original antique-gold surfaces with pleasing satiny glow in the recesses give this O-mint quarter eagle real eye appeal. Detail is bold for the level, with even high-point rub and plenty of surviving luster that rotates nicely under light. Color is attractively uniform on both sides, free of dips or brightenings, and the fields are refreshingly problem-free for the issue. A thin old line at the right reverse field is the only noteworthy mark, but even then, barely so. Housed in a PCGS holder with a well-deserved green CAC sticker - a confident, choice AU that looks great in hand.
