Ahhhh a '49 Moffat. This coin - despite being only an F12 - absolutely rocks. As one of the most accessible pieces of Pioneer gold, we'll grab every Moffat we can find out there.

Warm antique-gold color with subtle olive accents and fully original, unmessed-with surfaces give this five a wholesome, honest look. Wear is even and smooth, rims are solid, legends and date remain bold, and the fields show that pleasing, satiny circulated glow we all like to see. Just some scattered contact from time in the channels of commerce limits the grade. In an NGC holder, this specimen has far better eye appeal than the assigned F level usually delivers.
