1849-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c)

Original and honest from every angle, this VF shows even stone-gray to pale honey patina with darker accents tucked into the stars and around the devices, giving it a pleasing, circulated-cameo look. Detail is nicely balanced for the grade with a bold LIBERTY and strong reverse claws and arrows, and there are still faint flashes of luster peeking from protected recesses. Surfaces are smooth for an O-mint of this era, with only a small patch of contact in the right obverse field keeping it out of XF land. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder and approved by CAC, the eye appeal is exactly what we want on an 1849-O half.
