1852 Braided Hair Half Cent (1/2c) Restrike, Reverse of 1856

CAC-approved in a PCGS gold shield holder, this PR64BN restrike - Rev. of 1856 - shows glossy, original chocolate-brown skin with warm russet and olive mottling and faint amber at the rims. The mirrors are nicely reflective beneath the patina, giving the fields a subtle flash on rotation, and the strike is crisp throughout. Surfaces are clean and undisturbed for the grade, with just a small darker spot in the right obverse field noting the ceiling. Lovely, even color and strong eye appeal for a brown proof.
