1852-C Gold Dollar ($1)
NGC XF45 CAC
The 1852-C Gold Dollar is a gem of Southern minting, produced in Charlotte, North Carolina. This year's issue saw a modest mintage of 9,434 coins, making it one of the scarcer entries in the Gold Dollar series.
This example is graded XF45 by NGC, boasts a CAC sticker, and is an absolutely beautiful an original example of "crusty old gold." We fell in love with this coin the instant we saw it and bought it without hesitation. It's exactly the look you want to see in gold - toned, original, meaty, and with a C mintmark to boot!
