1855 Gold Dollar ($1)

Glowing medium gold with a hint of orange, this MS63 plus dances with satiny luster on both sides and shows that lovely undipped, original look we all hunt for. The centers are bold for the issue, the fields are alive with cartwheel, and the rims are crisp in the PCGS holder. A few scattered ticks in the obverse fields are the only thing keeping it out of a higher bracket. PCGS nailed the plus here - the eye appeal is decidedly better than a run of the mill 63.
