1856-S Liberty Gold Double Eagle ($20) S.S. Central America

Glowing, flashy luster rolls hard across both sides, the color a complex orange/yellow gold. The strike is bold and the finish is pleasingly frosty, giving the fields a lively, almost satiny flash. Contact is minimal for the grade, with a few scattered ticks on the obverse cheek keeping it from better. Eye appeal is unquestionably strong. Housed in the PCGS S.S. Central America gold label holder and approved by CAC, this example has the look we hope to see on shipwreck gold.
