1858 Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c)

Fresh, crusty original skin in soft silver-grey with subtle champagne at the rims, and a livelier reverse that flashes hints of pale blue when tilted. Luster is better than typical for the grade, rolling across the fields with a pleasing satiny glow. The strike is confident, with bold shield lines and well-feathered eagle. Scattered field chatter and a couple ticks near the staff hand set the ceiling at 62, but nothing distracting to the eye. Attractive, honest surfaces housed in an older NGC holder, and the overall eye appeal is strong for an Unc Seated half of this era.
