1859 Indian Cent (1c)

This is a wholesome AU with wonderfully even khaki-gold color and a pleasing, untouched look. The surfaces are smooth for the grade, with satiny, original luster peeking through the legends and protected recesses, and the devices remain crisp with strong detail across the headdress and wreath. Eye appeal is quite nice for an early copper-nickel, and the rims are clean. Just a trace of friction in the open fields keeps it out of the next grade. Housed in a PCGS holder.
