1860 Liberty Gold Double Eagle
NGC MS61 CAC
A true uncirculated example with vibrant sun-gold surfaces, subtle orange highlights, and decidedly original skin flashing strong frosty luster on both sides. The obverse shows the expected handling chatter for the grade, while the reverse glows with uninterrupted cartwheel. Strike detail is sharp for the issue, giving this coin far more eye appeal than most Uncs of the date. CAC agreed, and the green bean fits. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder, this example has that pleasing old-time color that everyone prizes and the look of a piece that never saw circulation, just storage and transport.
