1861 Seated Liberty Half Dime (H10C)

Warmly original and totally wholesome in hand, this mid-AU example shows soft silver-granite skin with pale golden highlights and an even, circulated-cameo look. Traces of luster peek from the protected recesses, and the rims and legends remain bold for the grade. Surfaces are pleasingly smooth for an 1861, with only a couple tiny peppery specks on the obverse noted on close inspection. In a fresh NGC holder and approved by CAC, the eye appeal is exactly what we like to see on an honest, unmessed-with half dime.
