1862 Seated Liberty Dime (10c)

While most proof coins from the 1860s are darkly toned, and often dull, this one is lively and crisp! Mostly silver centers are framed by a ring of patina, particularly on the reverse. The strike is needle-sharp as expected of a proof, with fully rendered wreath detail and crisp drapery. A few faint lines in the mirrors are all that cap the grade, and the surfaces read as completely original. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a green CAC sticker, this example offers wonderful, undisturbed eye appeal.
