1866/1866 Shield Nickel (5c) FS-301 Repunched Date

The bold 1866/1866 FS-301 repunched date - (FS-001) - jumps right out under a glass, with the dramatic misplaced digits plainly visible below the primary date. This first-year With Rays example shows satiny, light nickel-gray surfaces, and the strike is impressive for the type: full shield lines, crisply detailed foliage, and sharp stars and rays on the reverse. A few faint grazes in the open fields cap the grade, but the look is fresh and original throughout. Housed in an older NGC holder with a green CAC sticker, this specimen delivers strong eye appeal for a popular Cherrypickers' variety.
