Warm, original red-brown color defines this 1868 - faded mint red glowing through the fields with deeper chocolate and mahogany tones over the portrait and wreath. The strike is bold for the date, with full feather tips, crisp diamonds in the ribbon, and a sharply detailed shield and wreath on the reverse. Surfaces are smooth and undisturbed, with satiny luster still active beneath the toning and nothing distracting under a glass. A tougher date to find this nice, housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a green CAC sticker, and the eye appeal is genuinely premium for the 64.
