Exceptionally wholesome for the grade, this XF shows textbook original skin with even an steel grey and pewter patina accented by faint amber highlights. Smooth, unmolested surfaces with balanced wear give it a pleasing choice XF look, and there are still hints of luster tucked into the protected areas. Detail is strong for the grade, LIBERTY is clear and the eagle’s feathers remain nicely defined, with excellent eye appeal that easily explains the well-deserved green CAC sticker. Housed in a PCGS gold shield holder, this seated dollar would fit perfectly in a high end set of the type.
