1879-S Morgan Dollar ($1) Reverse of 1878

Calling all everyman registry set collectors! A popular variety pairing a 1878-style reverse with an 1879 obverse, graded AU58+, one of the most coveted (and kind of odd) grades. Warm russet and champagne patina drapes over silver-gray surfaces on both sides, with plenty of luster still swirling through the fields and around the flat-breast eagle. The strike is sharp with strong hair and feather detail, and only the lightest high-point friction keeps this example out of mint state. Housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder with a well-deserved green bean.
