A knockout rainbow obverse earned this 1885-O its NGC Star, with sweeping bands of magenta, violet, and teal blending into sunset gold and tangerine. The color sits atop vibrant, frosty cartwheel luster that lights up every hue as the coin rotates. The reverse is mostly brilliant, framed by warm amber and russet at the periphery. The strike is sharp for a New Orleans issue, the fields are clean for the grade, and the eye appeal is genuinely outstanding. A wildly colorful gem Morgan.
