1885-S Morgan Dollar ($1)

A deeply patinated 1885-S, with warm antique gold and rich russet tones. Underneath, plenty of luster remains, especially on the reverse where the fields still show a lively glow. The strike is sharp as expected from San Francisco, with bold hair curls and crisp feather detail, and only the lightest high-point friction separates it from Mint State. A wholesome, never-dipped slider from a better S-mint date, housed in an NGC holder with a green CAC sticker.
