1886 Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c) Rattler

Attractive, original AU with even medium gray skin and soft pewter highlights, housed in an early PCGS rattler holder. Lively traces of luster still peek through the legends and around the devices, while the high points show both original frost and some honest rub consistent with the grade. The strike is admirably bold for the issue, with feather and shield detail holding strong. Surfaces are choice for AU50 - just scattered ticks and some friction, nothing distracting - and the overall eye appeal is pleasingly balanced and natural.
