Bursting with bright cartwheel luster, this MS New Orleans dollar has a fresh silver look with a whisper of champagne at the rims and a small russet patch tucked into the lower hair by the date. The strike is quite respectable for the mint, with better-than-usual detail around the wreath and wings and only minor softness at the centers. Surfaces are lively and largely clean, the reverse especially neat; some scattered contact on the obverse cheek keeps it in the 63 lane. Attractive eye appeal in an early-generation PCGS holder.
