1890 Seated Liberty Half Dollar (50c)
ANACS PR61
Rich, album-style color makes this proof pop—electric blue and violet at the rims ceding to warm gold and apricot centers on both sides, the reverse especially vibrant. Mirrors are present but slightly muted by scattered hairlines, but nothing distracting in-hand and no meaningful hits. Devices are sharp and frosty, rims are clean, and the fields retain that watery proof flash under the toning. Housed in an older ANACS soapbox holder, this example offers far better eye appeal than the grade suggests and reads as an honest, original piece.
