1892-CC Liberty Gold Half Eagle ($5)

Wonderfully original Carson City gold, wearing a deep honey-gold skin with deeper copper gathered around the devices and legends. The wear is light and even, leaving strong curl detail on Liberty and bold feathers on the eagle, with plenty of luster tucked into the protected areas on both sides. Surfaces are wholesome and undisturbed for an AU50, with nothing beyond honest circulation to note. A crusty, totally natural 1892-CC half eagle in a CACG holder.
