1895 Morgan Dollar ($1)

Lovingly referred to as the "King of Morgan Dollars" 1895 proof dollars gained this title as it was the only year which Philadelphia coined no business strike examples of the date- only proofs! This lightly circulated example shows light friction, which keeps the grade at 58. Hairlines, particularly on the obverse, are noted. We too would prefer a gem with no hairlines, but we have neither a coin doctor nor a genie on staff. Despite the lines both sides still retain ample crispness for an AU proof. Overall a solid entry level option to get your hands on the King of Morgan Dollars.
